Even with a second insert on top of whatever layer/insert there is, he still manages to wet through them sometimes. I can only tell after I remove the diaper and feel the weight of it. One thing I never really know - for wet diapers - how do you really know? And do you change more often or less often than with disposables? I think I tend to change more, just because I can't tell. If it's even just a tiny bit damp, I change. With disposables it's so easy to tell.
