Totally sun them! Not a prob. I think target sells Ecos which is CD friendly. I had my mom pick some up when I forgot to bring our rockin green to her house.

Sun bleaching works wonders after a wash. I also used Seventh Generation free and clear detergent without any issues. Make sure to use half your normal amount in the washer.

@stargal: I agree.

If it's still stained you can try washing it then letting it dry in the sun. Sun-bleaching usually clears up any stains we get.

Don't sweat it momma. What I would do is do a cold rince then hot wash with det. We use old school tide powder then two cold princes. Then I would just follow the directions of how to prep the diaper after you washed and dried it.
I've also heard ppl using free and clear on diapers before but I never have. I use tide powder or rockin green det.

So I busted out a brand new Bum Genius cloth diaper for some baby pictures today after Miss K peed and pooped on me. I remember seeing @photojane:'s pic of Sadie and how cute that would be. So anyways... I hadn't washed them or anything yet because they are still HUGE on K, but I thought it would be a good photo op!

Well... K pooped in them within 2 min. of me putting them on! And so I tried rinsing it with hot water in the sink, but it's like stained bright yellow! I just looked up the washing directions and I didn't cold wash it first and I don't have special BG detergent yet. I'm so unprepared! What should I do to wash the stain out? Throw in a cold wash, and then a hot wash?
Since it's just one, should I just hand wash it cold, hot, cold? Can I use my regular Free & Clear detergent or is there a detergent I can just go buy at Target (instead of ordering the BG detergent from online)? Can I spray it with stain remover?

I don't want to ruin them before I even start attempting to CD! Someone HELP!

ETA: Cold rinsing did seem to make most of the stains go away! Yay! But still not sure what to do about detergent and stain removers?
