I do a pre-rinse, extra wash, and extra rinse. Its nice because I don't have to go back and restart it after each step. I've found that the following wash routine works for me: First I run a "rinse &amp; spin" cycle on cold, but set the spin speed to "no spin." This gets all of the diapers saturated and heavy so that the machine thinks the load is larger than it actually is when I run the next step. Next, I add 2 Tbsp of Rockin Green Hard Rock and run a "whites/heavy duty" cycle on hot with a pre-wash and an extra rinse.
