@CVBEE: that's what I was thinking - onesie extenders! Because honestly, we've barely put him in pants since it has been such a hot summer in Chicago.

Good to know about the imcant on pants though....thanks everyone!!

I was expecting to need 'onesie extenders' but I find it really only impacts the pants sizes because of the waist. Well, that and I don't like him to have tight-looking waistbands. So, he can consistently wear one size bigger in the pants than his shirts.

Sawyer has a long-ish torso, so adding the bulk of the cloth to the crotch makes him need longer onesies (carter's brand, and sometimes one size up) Some diapers make him fit into bigger pants, the fuzzibunz elite are nice and trim, so they fit into the clothes well, AMP's and Applecheeks I find a bit big, so he can only wear stretchy pants in them (ie no jeans). Fuzzibunz original inserts are thicker, so I use a bamboo insert when I am going to put tighter clothes on him.

DS is 95% for height and weight, and has been since birth. Until DS started walking jeans were just too stiff and constricting, so we stuck with fleece or knit pants. They didn't seemed to be affected too much by the cloth diapers. The one pair of jeans we did have we're tighter with cloth diapers. He is huge anyway, so it is hard to say if the cloth diapers are making him outgrow clothes earlier.

Yeah, now that Toddler Girl is potty trained, she went down a size in short :P
I found that I liked to use onesies that ran more to the long and stretchy end, I like Carter's the best.

I actually find it to be a bigger problem when we use disposables (like we just did on vacation for a week) and his pants fall down!

Yeah there's a difference. I've been known to use a disposable with this one pair of skinny jeans ;)

Just pants--the onesies and overalls (and of course shirts) fit the same over our gDiapers and the disposables.
And the pants... he only outgrew them a couple weeks before the other clothes. He is 3 months and in 3-6 month Carters (and we have 2 "3 month" ones he fits, too). He is 16 pounds, almost 26"

I'm about to start CDing and I'm a bit worried that using cloth will make my LO's clothes a bit too small - we'll be doing a mix of fuzzibunz, bumgenious and pre-folds w/ thirsties.....

He's 3 mos and in mostly 3 month sized carters outfits that fit well.

Have you found that your LO needs to be in bigger sized clothes or specific brands that run bigger with CDs?
