Stay at the Fairmont or somewhere in the heart of downtown. Book a Georgian tea or spa. Feast on seafood-oysters and dungeness crab Take the monorail to Seattle Center, watch a play, maybe hop a ferry to a San Juan Island, check out Pike Place Market, Chihuly glass. Lots of gorgeous architecture to walk around and see nature and shop too. So many places to eat, drink and be merry! Public transport and or monorail is easy. I'm sure you can find a jazz scene here. There's a fantastic one in Newport RI that has had some really top of the line New Orleans jazz every year that we've gone and it's held right on the water (venue views can't be beat!). Spas, sailing and shopping are all there too.</p> <p>A friend of ours does a girlfriends weekend in NYC each year that I'm pretty jealous of (ha!). I think my best friend and I from high school would have fun exploring NYC for a weekend. Where would you go? If it helps, you are not located on the east coast and while you both have passports, this would be an approximately 4 day trip. </p> <p>We considered jazz fest, but the dates don't work. A Caribbean island? A west coast trip? Something else? An event? New Orleans holds a special place for us both, but new memories in a new place is always great! </p>
