Rentals are often God awful quality but I'm sure not always. Also, a used instrument might easier in someways. I really want her to learn Cello but I am also open to violin. The instructor recommended a rental cello since she will grow out of the one that is her size now. But looking at the cost of a rental per year plus the insurance for it, it seems cheaper to just buy it.<br /> If you child takes cello lessons do you rent? </p>
