The hospital said the baby looked great and I wasn't in labor so they sent me home. In the UK they don't routinely do a pelvic exam until you present at the hospital for delivery. I bled everywhere and the doctor ended up giving me a hospital pad to wear. She said that if I continued to bleed after 3 days to call of if I was bleeding heavily that I was bleeding through a pad an hour to call. I stopped bleeding "fresh" blood after 24 hours but continued to bleed dark/brown blood for another 2 days. It stopped entirely by day 3. I'm not sure what his definition of "spotting" is, but I've been bleeding like I have my period for the past 24 hours and when I called his office I was told it's "normal". Anyone else have this problem? </p>
