Ok, I will have to put some feelers out there for a good seamstress in the area. I'd hate to butcher the red dress and the neckline just flap in the wind. LOL Illusion fabric may be an option.

Like @FMMTK: said, absolutely with the right seamstress. I have a seamstress that's amazing and she's done tons of alterations for me. Including the top/bust of a dress. Find someone you trust, try it on for them with proper undergarments, etc and discuss what you'd like done/the options etc.

If you find the right seamstress, absolutely! I had the neckline of my wedding dress changed quite a bit which including very delicate beading. It is possible, but look for someone that specializes in dress making or something beyond basic alterations :)

I'm not an expert on this at all....but I would think you could scoop the neck out a little. However, adding the cut out v that makes it sort of a sweetheart look might not work (depending on how the darts on the red dress are sewn) - it seems like it could flop open if the dress wasn't originally cut in a way that would support a low neckline.. A good seamstress should be able to tell you whether or not it would work!

I love the print!

The neckline of the red dress is not the most flattering for women with large bust. I think the black dress neckline would work better for me. Would you trust a seamstress to rework the neckline?

ETA: the biggest scale alterations I have had are getting my suit jackets taken in to fit my proportions better.
