I have a seamstress that's amazing and she's done tons of alterations for me. Including the top/bust of a dress. I had the neckline of my wedding dress changed quite a bit which including very delicate beading. However, adding the cut out v that makes it sort of a sweetheart look might not work (depending on how the darts on the red dress are sewn) - it seems like it could flop open if the dress wasn't originally cut in a way that would support a low neckline.. I think the black dress neckline would work better for me.
