It took 8 weeks after my MC for AF to return. The next one was 5 or 6 weeks after that. I was pregnant the next month. After my MC, my periods were the same as before. After having LO, my cramps are basically non-existent (YAY! I also had terrible cramps) but the flow is a bit heavier the first day or two.

it took a long time to get my period after the first m/c (i've had two). once i got it back, the cycle itself was pretty normal but my actual period was REALLY short - like less than a day. it's never really gone back to normal (5 days) even after a successful pregnancy and being on BCP.

Sorry for your loss  my first few (2 or 3?) AF after a loss at 10 weeks was later than usual but cycles went back to normal over time.

I stopped ovulating and my cycles were 40+ days long. Not what you want to hear, but clomid put me back on track

I had mine at 6 weeks and my first two cycles after were short (22 days instead of my normal 30-32), but my last cycle was regular length and this current one looks like it will be, too. Other than that, no changes.

I'm sorry for your loss :(

It took 10 weeks for me to get a period after my mc at 8.5 weeks. The next cycle was way shorter than usual, and the next one after that would've been more normal but I got pregnant again :)

I'm the opposite- my cycles shortened after each of my miscarriages. After the first, I ovulated about 5 days early, and a few days early after the second. Both mcs were natural, one at 4w and one at 6w.

Also, I noticed other changes, too. My hair fell out in clumps when I was pregnant, and that never really stopped . My skin is still really dry, too. And my nipples are bigger than they ever were before. Not as big as when I was pregnant, but they never really went back. Weird.

My cycles increased about a week longer than normal. Then, I would stop and have a week without a period and then have some breakthrough bleeding about a week later. It did this for about 2-3 cycles and then became normal.

Sorry about your mc. I miscarried at 11 and then my bleeding lasted 23 days. Ugh. After that my next one or two periods were definitely heavier but then back to normal.

I miscarried at 9 weeks. The first cycle afterwards was the shortest (35ish days). Then I went back to normal (for me) with 40-50 day cycles, ugh! But I had extremely long cycles before the m/c too.

So sorry :(

And for me, the first mc, the first cycle or 2 were a bit weird after. Then things seemed to normalize. The last one, my cycle after was really short. Now things seem more normal again I think.

Just wanted to say sorry for your loss. And if you ever need to chat about it, let me know!

I always had super long cycles before I got pregnant. When I lost my first at 8 weeks (missed miscarriage with a D&C), my cycles were a clockwork 30 days right after that. Cramping did subside a little, but since I had LO after my second miscarriage, the cramping returned with a vengeance! Cycles after LO are still wonky as well.

The miscarriage definitely regulated me though. If anything came out of a bad situation, at least it was that...

I miscarried at 7 weeks. My LP seemed to shorten and my cycle lengthened. I don't even know if I was ovulating... after a few months of unsuccessful trying, I went to the chiropractor and started b complex - next month I got my sticky baby bfp!

I had a miscarriage at 9.5 weeks, and I'm curious whether other bees who have had first trimester miscarriages noticed changes to their cycles. I know having a baby can cause major changes to your body (my sister-in-law had celiac (gluten allergy) so badly that even one bite of bread could land her in the hospital, but after having my niece she can eat all the gluten she wants), but I've never heard whether a *very* short pregnancy causes changes.

So for those who've been through this, did you notice that things stayed mostly the same, or did you see changes in cycle length, symptoms, cramps, etc? (I'm really crossing my fingers for less cramping, since mine are usually severely debilitating. So far I'm 26 days post MC and have none of my usual PMS cramps, so either AF is not going to be back for at least a couple more weeks, or maybe things will be better.)
