I bet she is a little over tired. My LO is 20 months, and she goes down between 6:15 and 6:30 and sleeps until 6:30ish. She takes anywhere from a 30 min (*augh!) to 2 hour nap at daycare, although she usually averages a little over an hour. When she has a really short nap day, I try to make sure she goes down closer to 6. It makes for a tight timeline at night, but I just don't think she gets the sleep she needs otherwise.

Good luck tonight - *fx* for you!

@MsLipGloss: She's 2 years old. I've tried putting her in bed at 8:15 with varied success - one night she fell asleep at 8:40, another night at 9:30. Tonight i'm going to try putting her into bed at 7:45pm and see if that helps.

How old is your LO? Have you tried moving her bed time up (as in earlier, not later)?

Lately, LO hasn't been sleeping very well. She'll fall asleep around 8:45pm at the earliest but will wake up at 6:30am! She doesn't cry and will just lay there until i get her. Lately she barely gets 10 hours of sleep at night, and at daycare will get just over 1 hour for nap. It's a drastic change from her 2 hour naps and 10.5 hour night sleep.

I wouldn't be concerned if it didn't affect her mood, but i can just tell from when i go to her room that she didn't sleep well.

She recently transitioned to a new daycare room (far away from her old room) and she's been quite upset about it. She doesn't deal with change well at all. That's the only thing i can think of that would affect her sleep.

Has anyone gone through this? Any tips? Do you think it could be something else?
