We use pad on top of dresser - at home, he is always changed there (but we do live in a 1 level condo). Now, at 9 months, I do often change him on the floor beacuse he is so hard to change these days (flipping, crawling, etc while trying to change him).

We have a changing table and it is a staple in our nursery. We do live in a 2 story house and have a diaper bin/ottoman we use downstairs for a quick change. But, 90% of the time we use the changing table!

We got a changing table and used it CONSTANTLY. Every diaper change, I'd say. Now that J is more mobile we're using it less because he's moving around and I feel like it's less stable/safe :)

We have a pad on a dresser and use it for 95% of changes. She actually loves it! Until recently it was the sure fire way to calm her down for some reason.

I'd say its nice to have one in the beginning when the kids don't move around much. We have 2 stories and have 2 changing pads (but only need 1).... We use the floor w the changing pad and we use the bed, without one. They move around SO much, it's too dangerous even with the support straps to put them on an elevated position. They started moving around a lot starting like 4 months? Maybe 3.... Definitely not now, at 10.5 months. I'd say its not something you really need to invest in if money is tight. But it's nice to have for the short time u need it.

We threw a $15 pad on top of her dresser and have used it maybe once. Total waste. If we had a one-story house, I could see having used it more though.

We bought a cheap ikea one with our first. We got hand me down furniture with our second child that included a dresser which is doubled as a changing area. But the dresser is a little tall for my height so it was a bit uncomfortable for me to change the baby on. So, now I just change her on the carpet.

We have a 2 story house and use a changing pad on her dresser. LO had always loved being on her changing pad and even now at 15 months she knows that the changing pad is where she goes to get a diaper change. She doesn't try to wiggle away and it's convenient to have everything set up with all her diaper supplies (I use gdiapers). I also like that she gets some privacy...I know that's silly bc she's just a baby but for some reason I just like going into a separate room for her diaper changes. Also I just didn't want my house overrun with baby stuff and that includes not having diaper stuff in the living areas.

We have one in his room and its great. It is in the second floor. When he first came home and for the first 2.5 months of his life, I had a mini pack n play in the first floor set up as a changing station, that way we didn't have to go up and down.

We have a changing pad on a dresser and we change all of her diapers there. We use cloth, so it's easier to ave it all in one place. If we used disposables, I would keep some in the living room and change her there too. We have a two story house with a finished basement, but we pretty much live on one floor.

we live in just a small 2 br apt. at first we changed him on the foam mat on top of a dresser, but then moved him to the actual changing table we had for him. i like it WAY better than doing it on top of the dresser! more sturdy, safer, and all his changing gear is better organized.

LO is 10 months and I still use the change pad on the dresser in his room. Our house has two floors and its the only place I change him now.

When he was really small and needed lots of diaper changes, I also had a diaper station downstairs. But as he got bigger and needed less diaper changes, I pretty much change him before and after naps so the one diaper station is enough.

We have a change pad on a dresser in her room. I tend to change her before feeding her, and nurse in her room, so it works out. I have diaper changing supplies downstairs, but it's chillier down there, so don't tend to do it there. My mom doesn't like carrying her up the stairs, so she changes her downstairs.

Lo isn't here yet, but changing on the floor just sounds so annoying. Even bending Over the bed sounds annoying. Am I missing something?
However, we will have an extra taller dresser and I figured we would not use it bc I want a dresser with changing pad on top. It has literally never occurred to me that I could just get a cheaper changing table and use the dresser!

I love a changing station. Everything I need is right in one place...diapers, wipes, cream, powder. I don't have much room for an actual changing table in this apartment, so the pack and play we have has a changing spot I'll use for a while. We're hopefully moving sometime in the near future, so then I'll get the changing pad from my parents house and put it on a dresser to use.

I have a changing pad on a dresser and have used it for 99% of her diaper changes in the last 9 months. My Mom, MIL, and SIL are shocked that I still use it. But, I do. Nearly everytime. I am tall so it's easier for me to not have to bend down on the floor or the bed!

We were gifted a changing table that matched our crib (also a gift). DS was exclusively changed there from the start until about nine months, when he just made it impossible because he wouldn't stay still! Even though we didn't use it as a place to change him anymore, we still used it to house a lot of his items that we needed to keep in easy reach - and out of his reach. I'm glad we got one and glad we kept it assembled because with LO #2 due any day now, we're going to need it!

ETA: We currently live in a one story house but we're trying to buy a two story house. If we get this house, the changing table will more than likely be downstairs, since that's where the family will be the most - probably in the guest bedroom - and we'll wing it upstairs in the crib. Or may get a second changing pad and install it on a dresser! Who knows!
