We have a changing table in her room and have used it only a handful of times. We have all her diapers and stuff in the living room and we change her on the floor.

Her changing table is upstairs. If we have to change her downstairs, we'll just do it on the floor on a changing pad. We keep a bin of diapers, wipes, cream, etc downstairs.

Initially, I just changed DS downstairs on a changing pad on the floor. I just used the diaper bag, since we keep it in the downstairs closet, and then I'd restock it every couple days. Our regular changing table with all of the extra supplies is upstairs, but I didn't want to have to drag both kids upstairs with me for every single change (which, with a newborn is like every 2 hours). Now that DS is older (5 months) and we change him less often, I don't use the diaper bag nearly as much.

We have changing pads on top of dressers on both floors. For now, she sleeps in our room and the main changing pad is in there. A second, less expensive changing pad is in her nursery, but we'll switch them off when we move her into her crib. We also have 2 diaper trash bins. We don't use any fancy containers to hold the diapers and wipes, just baskets, so we didn't have to specifically buy anything else.

We have a changing table in the nursery and a changing station on the pack n play in our room (where Lil Miss Wagon sleeps right now), both upstairs. Then downstairs we have a diaper changing caddy and we put the changing pad on the couch or ottoman or ground. When we move Lil Miss Wagon to the nursery, we'll put the pack n play downstairs and use the changing station there (and use the pack n play as a playpen).

Our LO sleeps upstairs, and I have a basket on the main level that I keep some diapers, a box of wipes, Desitin, extra bib, extra onesie and a travel changing pad in (I had a travel changing pad and my diaper bag also came with one, so I use the diaper bag one at the house). When it's time to change a diaper, I just pull out the basket, unfold the changing pad on the floor and VIOLA! instant changing area. When I'm done, I fold it up and put it back on the shelf.

I have a changing table on both our floors. It does make it so much easier. I keep most of her clothes up in the nursery but I have some downstairs, too.

We only have one floor but when he would scream at night during changes we would change him in a different room... we just used a portable changing pad on the floor.
Most of my mom friends don't even use their changing table at all anymore! They just use a cloth diaper (I used a vinyl placemat) and change the baby on top of that on the floor or couch.

We have a pack n play on our main living area floor and her changing table in her room upstairs. If we had another floor, we would probably just change her on the floor on a blanket.

When we visit my parents, my mom puts plastic down on the bed, covers it with a flannel sheet and we change her there. She has also napped there.

Use whatever works for you. I LOVE our pnp changing station. It has a place for dipes on the side and we change her on the changing table that came with it.

For people that have 2 or more floors, do you have more than one changing table? If so, what do you use outside the nursery - a pack n play? a regular changing table? a changing pad on the couch? Do you have a duplicate of everything in the nursery (changes of clothes, hamper, diaper cream/hand sanitizer/etc), or a pared down version?

We have a 4 floor townhouse with living room/kitchen on floor 2, and bedrooms on floor 3. I'm assuming we won't want to take baby up and down the stairs for every changing, but I'm curious how people handle this.
