@chopsuey119: That's totally what I thought he was saying but I think he means that he and Charlie are staying up together until he's ready to sleep.

Charlie's been on the weirdest schedule today:

* 5 am - Charlie is officially up. Breakfast and playing commences.
* 10 am - The whole family is ready to head out to local waterpark in strollers
* 10:20 am - Charlie falls asleep in the stroller?? He's never fallen asleep this early. CRISIS! We go to waterpark anyway to take some pictures with Bee and Olive.
* 10:50 am - Charlie wakes up. It's a miracle! Charlie plays for the next hour-and-a-half in the waterpark.
* 12:20 pm - We head home exhausted but happy. i.e. We are exhausted, and Charlie is happy. :-)
* 12:45 pm - Normally we'd put Charlie down for his nap. But he doesn't appear to be tired in the slightest... could it be that his 30 minute nap ruined his sleep, even though he didn't sleep that much last night?
* 1 pm - We give Charlie a bath in an attempt to get him to sleep. He has a ball in the bath, but he is still wide awake.
* 1:30 pm - I get Charlie into bed and read him a bunch of books. Could he be ready to fall asleep? He turns to me and says, "Daddy, I want to play." *facepalm*
* 1:45 pm - Charlie is now well-fed, but completely over tired. We decided to see if we can get him to sleep in his stroller, and go on a family walk to get coffee. (Olive isn't sleeping either.)
* 1:46 pm - Charlie demands to be freed from captivity in his stroller.
* 1:50 pm - We put sunscreen lotion on Charlie to protect him from the blaring sun.
* 1:51 pm - Charlie starts demanding that we let him carry the lotion in his hand and put it all over himself. I refuse; cue melt down on sidewalk. Bee continues onto coffee shop to stroll Olive to sleep, while I carry Charlie home in one hand while pushing his stroller with another. The whole time, Charlie screams, "I want to get coffee!" hundreds of times.
* 2 pm - 4 pm - Charlie has the world's biggest tantrum at home on the floor. Time loses all meaning.
* 4 pm - Charlie is exhausted by everything and we finally get him to sleep. I fall asleep next to him.
* 7 pm - I wake up confused as to what's going on. Charlie is still passed out.
* 8 pm - We decide that Charlie isn't likely to sleep through the night, so I wake him up. I change his diaper, and he screams in agony. Lately every diaper change has been the World's Biggest Deal. Charlie goes back to the floor to protest life's agony. I start typing this note.
* 8:15 - Charlie is sobbing something over and over. What is it? Bee translates his code: "Diego". He wants to watch the Dora the Explorer spinoff, "Go Diego Go!" while he has some milk. (Diego is Dora's cousin, because Dora's dad and Diego's dad are brothers. Don't ask me how I know this... I just do.)
* 8:45 pm - Charlie is satisfied... for now.
* 9 pm - Charlie and I will head out into the night to party together. Maybe Bee will be able to enjoy the tiny sliver of what's left of her Mother's Day?
12 am - I will try to get Charlie back down.

We have got to get Charlie back on a regular sleep schedule. It's so hard to normalize your kid's schedule after they've been sick and off schedule!!

How do you get your kids back on a regular schedule after they've been sick and off-schedule?
