I think FF likes temps to be within a 30 minute period to be consistent. I used to set an early alarm to temp, then would go back to sleep (I stopped tracking bbt after about s year because of health issues/infertility)

That's absolutely true @mrsrain, I honestly hadn't really even thought of that!

I love the info charting gives me and am also incredibly impatient for 'the big picture' of the chart versus this whole just one day at a time business :silly:

@OurEastAndWest: hmmm... it could also be an annovulatory cycle. Hopefully a few more days will make things crystal-clear!

@banana330 My temp has gone back up again the last two days so I am guessing I did actually ovulate at some point! Still no crosshairs from FF but I can't figure out my O date myself either ha so I don't blame 'em

@marym I usually wake up between 7:15 & 8:30 AM- but I don't set an alarm so it's certainly not exact. I'm guessing that's why I seem to consistently have a lot of open circles?

And I also thought about the head cold thing affecting my temps but I never had a fever when I actually had the stuffy nose- CD 9 to CD 14- and I was totally fine and off all meds by then so I can't imagine that causing it to jump up so much days later... right?? :bummed:

Also, if you were under the weather, I wonder if you had a touch of a fever?

The temp spike is earlier than past months. Maybe you haven't Oed yet? (Never mind. Just noticed I was looking at the date instead of cycle day)

Have you been temping at the same time each day? Wondering because of all the open circles

Thank you both for your input though! It must be that I was supposed to ovulate and just didn't... Though we'll see what the next few temps will tell!

Also I have significant ovulation pains before I O- typically lasting for a week or so and then stopping a few days before I actually ovulate. This month was super strong on my Left side, almost painful at times, which was the same side as last month. They subsided after CD 14 and haven't returned.

Do you ever feel like your body is playing a game of 'guess what new twist I'm going to through at you this week'??? Haha or is that just my crazy uterus?!

Charts for last month and then the month before. Typically it's obvious that my cycle has shifted.

I have been struggling with enough CM so this cycle I happened to be a little under the weather last week and took a few days of Mucinex and it has actually helped a lot! I'm not still taking it but am still noticing more CM than more normal cycles... so maybe I haven't Oed yet?? I still just find the temp spike so strange!

Hard to say, either you tried to O but didn't or your post-ovulation progesterone is still running low. Are your temps normally pretty high in the luteal phase?

The next few days of temps should offer more insight. It could just be a wonky cycle though too :/ Maybe BD tonight just in case. I consider myself still in the game until I get three days of high temps. Also, check CM--dry or no?

could be geared up to O but didn't? or something is off with your post temps.

What do your other charts normally look like?

I have never had this happen before so I'm not sure what to make of it. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I had a positive OPK on CD 15. I usually continue to check my LH levels until they turn negative again {I typically have positive OPK for 2-3 days} but I woke up on CD 16 with a huge temp rise as if I had already ovulated. Since I figured I ovulated, there was no need to check it again to see if my LH was still up. When my temps dropped back down on CD 17 I assumed it was because I didn't have a great night's sleep or maybe I slept with my mouth open or some weird fluke. But then this morning my temp is STILL back down and I slept fine through the night. Any insights on what this means??

(Note that I know we did not do a good job of BDing this month but we needed a breather from 6 months straight of 'intercourse on demand' and we just had sex when we actually wanted to... Which meant not a lot this month obviously ha. And the meds I marked are for Vitex.)
