I agree that I would just jump in and start entering your temps this month. Ignore anything that doesn't make sense for now. Their emails are super helpful and break it down into manageable chunks and they have helpful hints on the site that rotate. Ask questions here as they come up. The good news is you really only need to take your temp daily at the same time and put it in the app. It will do the hard part!

@mrs. 64: Thank you for your input. I watched a couple videos on the basics of charting. Still rather confusing but I'll get it, eventually.

Honestly I wouldn't worry about the past cycles too much. Just start the temping, opks, and charting this month and see what happens. Charting and opks are easy once you get the hang of them but can seem overwhelming at first. I recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility, but a lot of people just read the background information on FF (I think they might even have a course on there) and do well with that. Good luck!

@court_schaeff: I would go ahead and put in those past start dates as CD 1 if you know them. That will help you and FF get an idea of cycle length. From there you just start temping each day.

@T.H.O.U.: I want to track temp and use opk. I do know the past three or four start dates.

Do you want to temp, track CM, use OPK or just track cycle length. Do you know the start dates at least of your last few periods?

Hello. After four failed attempts of TTC, I guess I will start to chart. I downloaded the app of FF and its asking me for my cycle length. Welllll, if I dont have a regular cycle how do I determine my cycle length?

Also any other suggestions or comments please do tell me about charting. Im completely confused by it.
