I had a great experience! I think it's just about expectations. Pick a time slot where your kids won't be sleepy/hungry. Try to do weekday and/or first/last appointments to combat crowds. With DD1's photos it turned out amazing; we also enlisted grandparents help so we had a lot of adults to manage outfit changes and also to keep her laughing.</p> <p>With DD2 it was a little chaotic since I wanted photos her her, both of them together then all of us. It’s kind of a zoo on weekends this time of year. If you can do a weekday during school I would choose that time. Check Groupon before you go because it seems like there’s always a deal that makes them dirt cheap. We have a “real” photographer that we’ve used before too. Definitely look for coupons / groupons. I will say the results have varied widely based on the skill of the person you get. That is the downside I see. But they’re pics We wouldn’t have had otherwise so it’s more just managing expectations. I did a full legit sitter session for my first girl with a great photographer, but I don't have the time or money to do it again for this second baby. (Poor second child problems!) Have any of you been to the little photo studios inside places like Sears, Buy Buy Baby or JC Penny? Do you have any recommendations for a place like that? </p>
