@CatchAFallingStar: I had breast tenderness and generally felt off for a week after. I'd say it's normal to feel symptoms as your body is getting back to normal.

Is it normal to still be having pregnancy symptoms a few days after loss?

I just went through this last month. I started spotting at 7dpo, got positive test on 10dpo. I got in with my Dr the next day bc of the spotting. My first beta was 14. I started bleeding at 13dpo and my 2nd beta the next day was 9. I bled for 7 days (2 days more than normal for me) and the first 4.5 were extremely heavy and I passed a lot of tissue. My cramps weren't super painful but they were constant. I physically felt awful those first couple days, very worn down. Because I was spotting from the get go and my tests weren't getting darker I didn't get too emotionally invested in the pregnancy overall. I was disappointed and had one breakdown after an event at my son's school where there were tons of pregnant Moms and I was physically at my worst. I ovulated 4 or 5 days late and am 9dpo ovulation today and hoping for the best!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's a shitty club to be a part of but know that there are so many of us that have been there. Be kind to yourself and feel all the feels that you need to.

@MsHangry: I’ve literally felt all of those things all in one day. I’m an emotional wreck. One minute I feel at peace and fine, the next I can’t stop crying and the next, I’m so angry at so many things that I could scream.

I find it odd that doctors treat early losses so nonchalantly. To me, it’s a big deal. To them, it seems like it’s nothing.

My MIL took me to the ER last night because my doctor wouldn’t see me for bleeding. I don’t think the ER was necessary, but at least I got some quick beta results and was able to leave with a definitive answer.

Congratulations on your BFP!! So happy for you. I hope I’ll be able to say the same soon.

@CatchAFallingStar: well, fingers crossed I just got a BFP. This is my fourth cycle after the chemical.
I missed your second question above, I did see my OBGYN a week later. Only because I had already scheduled an appointment. It was more for re-assurance than anything medical.
They didn’t need to do serial bHCG bc my level was already lower than the cutoff they use for pregnancy. I did get a Rho-gam shot bc I’m Oneg and my husband is Opos. I don’t know if that is 100% needed when no gestational sac is seen on the vaginal ultrasound but, again, I wanted the re-assurance.

I cried. A lot. I am a firm believer in whatever emotion you feel is valid. Anger/sadness/disappointment or even “this sucks but we will just try again”

My bleeding/period after my chemical was the same number of days but heavier than normal. My ovulation the next cycle was delayed by 2-3 days.
My lab system says positive bHCG is greater than 40 and I started bleeding and had a bHCG of 20 (I think)

How long/heavy did you bleed? My bleeding has almost completely stopped a day after it started.

What was your beta HCG when you knew you had lost the pregnancy? Mine was 4.75 at my doctor yesterday and 5.6 at the hospital last night. I know these are very low numbers. I was 18DPO.

Did you see your OB at all after your loss? Did you have follow-up HCG blood draws?

I’m just confused and angry and sad.

Thank you!
