I bought the plastic covers, but all that did was provide him with drumsticks when he's done chewing.

I think it is inevitable. I know there are crib rail bumpers or something similar to stop the chewing, but I just ended up tying too small onesies to the rail to cover it. It is super classy, but does the job.

M's crib looks like a wild animal was in there with her! She's chewed on the top rail a little bit before but today she really went at it. There are little splinters coming off it and everything! We dropped the crib to the lowest notch when DH came home, but I'm sure she'll chew on the vertical rails too. Is there any solution for this or is it inevitable?
