However, then I realized that the 30 comes in more colors and styles, and that sold me. So now we have the Keyfit 30. He's been in a convertible for the past three months and is only now 22 pounds at 9 months. We transitioned him out of the infant carseat well before 1 year (probably between 4-6 months) because it got way too heavy to carry. Bigger carseat is heavier, too.
