It was some of the best money I spent. They did try to get you to sign up with them, but had no issues if you declined (and we did). I was actually pretty surprised. The place that ran the classes just gave us a form to fill out and send to the insurance company on our first day there. Ours was $40, but it was just two 3 hour classes plus a tour of the hospital. </p> <p>I do know at ours, not everyone in the class was delivering at that hospital. They attended the classes but then opted out of the tour. I wasn't interested in an all natural birth or anything, so it was just a "here is the birthing process" sort of course, and my OB said that was totally fine, and that if i was researching things on the internet, I probably wouldn't learn anything new from the class anyways. And it was fine. I think they're so expensive!
