Um, literally everything from when he wakes up til when he goes to bed! He has picked up the phrase 'just this once' from somewhere and that is often heard! But there are many tactics... 'I need some juice to make me feel better, I need some juice because daddy's not here...' 😊

My 2.5 year old just started the phrase, "But I said please!" when I tell him no.

I feel like my life is a hostage negotiation situation these days.

The most common ones are dinner time.
Me: Please eat your dinner.
DD1: How many bites? 1, 2, or 3?
Me: 3
DD1: Sigh. You *always* say 3!

@erinbaderin: haha mine does this too! We have to leave the park in five minutes. NO! TWO minutes. Ok then.

Yeah basically everything she wants more time. Or one more video on the potty. Or more snuggles before bed. She has reached the stalling phase!

B's most common phrase is "I need one minute!" We give him an extra minute for pretty much anything. He's a terrible negotiator, though, yesterday my husband said he could have two minutes until his bath and he said "I want ONE minute!"

OMG everything these days is "2 more minutes!" She doesn't really understand the concept of time yet, lol (she's 2) so it's just her way of avoiding transitions (mostly avoiding getting dressed or diaper changes) or asking for something (like, if she sees my phone and I say no, she says "play with phone 2 minutes!") We use hour glass timers to try and help but it doesn't always work, she wants another 2 mins after the timer is up, lol
