I would add your communication expectations, what her daily tasks are, your safety preferences, to what extent she can transport your child, how much tv/day, anything else to limit.

@hummusgirl: thanks for your feedback! She has a pack-n-play but I forgot to include we'll be providing a thicker mattress, 2 fitted sheets, and two swaddles. She has an empty-ish nursery bc they'll be fostering in July. I'll add in a section about sleep preferences when we get closer to that time, but good points about other sleep supplies!

I think a convo about last feeding and last diaper change would be fine, no need for a communication log. :) If it were a nanny or something I'd care more, and pay more for that level of care.

This looks good to me. A couple things you may want to add or at least discuss:

Sleep: Where/how will he nap? Do you need to provide a pack and play/swaddle/white noise machine/fan? Do you want him put down on his back? Does she have or need a baby monitor?

Communication: Do you want her to keep a written log of milk consumed, wet/dirty diapers, what they did each day, etc.? Or would a conversation at pick-up suffice? Do you want her to send you pics while you're at work?

@daniellemybelle: thanks for the feedback! The stroller availability was her preference, since she would really prefer to babywear, which I'm fine with as long as LO likes it. Also she was super scheduled with her babies and talks as if she plans to stay home with baby 24/7 so I guess when I wrote that about errands, I was trying to remind her she CAN go out if she wants/needs.

About bm, we plan to give her extra backup frozen milk to be kept in the freeser, and good point about possibly limiting post 1pm feeds! I'll have to see how pumping and work is going.

I think this was great! A few things:

I would just get an inexpensive extra stroller for her that way you remove that hassle and also encourage more outside time, since it will be the spring.

The whole "feel free to take him on errands" gives me pause. Maybe your conversation went more in depth. I wouldn't give her free range on this. Going to the pharmacy for needed medicine or taking a child to dance class is one thing. Just going to Target just because is another. I don't know how many other kids she has at home, but I had a hard enough going on errands with one baby and dealing with feedings, naps, fussiness, etc. If it were me, I would just rephrase it as, "Necessary errands are fine but the baby's schedule should be prioritized when possible."

As for feedings, I might discuss what you want her to do if there is not enough breast milk for what the baby seems to want. And do you want her to not feed the baby after 1pm so he/she will want to nurse?

A SAHM friend will be watching LO full-time for 7 weeks in April & May, when he is 3-4 months old. We met recently to discuss the details, and this is what I've typed up based on our conversation. Could you please look it over & let me know your thoughts? Anything we're missing, should reconsider, etc? I don't want to make it extremely formal, but I want the important things in writing.

Also, LO is due in 10 days, so I know some of this will change as I learn his needs / routines but I'm trying to get something drafted before the sleeplessness and post-partum hormones wreck my brain.

Lastly, I would normally not ask a caregiver to do cloth diapers, but she cloth diapered her own kids, so it's not an issue. I just don't know if I want the laundry when first transitioning back to work.
