DS sleeps 12 hours almost every night....any more than that and I would probably wake him up.

We usually don't have this problem but during the week I wake them up if they are sleeping too long - I gotta get to work!

Ya, they usually sleep about 11.5-12 hours. If they sleep more than that and we need to be somewhere-I wake them.

This is really rare for Xander, but we've also only noticed it on the weekends. During the week, he gets woken up to go to daycare if he's still sleeping at 7:30.

My daughter was pretty tired yesterday, and passed at 7:30 pm (very early for her!). She didn't wake up for 13 1/2 hours!! I am amazed at how she can just hibernate at times. I used to be able to do that, but lost the ability when I became a parent alas.

Luckily she's still in preschool and they are flexible on arrival times, so we can just bring her a little late. Not sure what we're going to do next year, once she's in public Pre-k! I hope we can move up her bedtime by then...

Do your kids ever sleep more than 12 hours? Curious how you deal with the occasional hibernation when your child has somewhere he or she has to be!
