We live in Orange County, about 20 minutes away from Little Saigon (which has the largest population of Vietnamese outside of Vietnam), so there is plenty for us to do!

Tomorrow, I'm going to take the kids to get an ao dai for Harry (Char already has one from last year that she can wear again, I just need to let the hem down from her pants). Sunday morning, we might go to the local museum because they do a cultural festival the first Sunday of each month, so they are doing Lunar New Year stuff-- might stop by there or the Kidseum a bit before Super Bowl.

In three weeks, there will be two Tet Festivals locally-- one in Little Saigon (with the parade), and one at the fair events center. Not sure if we'll go to either one, since parking is CRAZY, the rides are too much for a toddler and infant, and we can easily get the food anytime...

Oh! But I'll be making banh tet this year again! I made banh chung last year, but the folding was hella hard, so I'll be sticking to the easier (and Southern Vietnamese, which is what I am) cylindrical banh tet this year.
