Wow I Love all these stories! I've heard tons about acupuncture but not much about chiropractors helping. I have endo so not sure if it would do anything for me though..

I was doing ivf, but I started going to see my chiro after I had a discectomy (surgery) for a badly herniated disc. Few months after starting chiro, we finally got our bfp.

@doxielove: Hi! So yes... I went to the chiropractor 4 times in a month a little while ago. I didn't tell him "Hi, please do fertility-specific adjustments." I did call the front office and ask the receptionist girl about fertility-specific adjustments and she had no clue what I was talking about. I like the chiro but I didn't go any more beyond that one month.

@doxielove: I have a happy update! The first month I went to the chiro while we were ttc I got a bfp. I had been having hip issues in particular so it could be related (or it could be a total fluke!) I went twice, once before I ovulated and once just after, the visits were a week apart. I didn't read anything that suggested an ideal timing so again, I have no clue if it made a difference but something worked that month!

@doxielove: she said I can see her at any time. She was diagnosed with IF after trying for a year, and took another year to get pregnant under an RE's care. So, I like that she wasn't all oh you're 27, just have sex, and was sensitive to my feelings and concerns. She is very holistic, and I recommend finding someone like that.

@MrsMcD: I am supposed to have an appointment today, but I think I will have to cancel it because I need to go get a blood draw instead. The chiropractor has fixed my headaches and hip ache, but it looks like my back pain is from endometriosis, and that is likely the reason we aren't pregnant yet.

So yes, it has helped a ton with my overall well being, but no it hasn't helped us to conceive.

Just had my first visit as my back and neck spasms have been getting out of control even with the yoga. LOVED LOVED my new chiropractor. I told her we are ttc, and she said churro was safe, and may even help, but I love she didn't make any promises. She also told me to get healthier, and is helping me with a nutrition plan. Loved this woman's holistic approach. Oh, and my neck and back feel better. My neck feels better for the first time in months!

@owlteach: Thanks. I don't remember where the sublaxations were exactly but generally it was neck and lower back. I am a huge fan because it helped my pain immensely and I went from about 3 migraines a week to not having one in the past year.

@MrsMcD: I wished I was one of the lucky ones who had success with ttc at the chiro. It doesn't hurt to try it though since some people have success!

I re-started going to the chiropractor this cycle (5) so I am hoping it helps, although he said things were looking pretty good and I was only mildly "off". He did a regular adjustment with a bit more emphasis on my hips but that is where I typically have problems. He also said there is some research that supports the idea of chiropractic care being helpful in conception and that at the very least it certainly can't hurt.

@owlteach: mine was Stage 2 Sacro-Iliac Separation, meaning that one side of my pelvis had pretty much come away from my spine, putting me completely out of balance.
@MrsMcD: I told my Chiro that I was having back pain but also that I was having really bad cycle issues. I don't think the adjustments were specific to fertility, but basically the inflammation in the area was so bad that my body was delaying cycles because it would have been detrimental to my health to carry a pregnancy. Hope this helps!

@mrs. 64: thanks for your input as well. For every one girl who says things like "i just relaxed my mind, took a vacation and got pregnant!" there are about 15 girls I know who did the same and did not get pregnant. I'm such a realist and love to hear all opinions on things like this. But hey... 8 months isn't bad! I'm just starting my 9th cycle of TTC. womp womp......

I saw a chiropractor every week pre-pregnancy just because I loved getting adjusted. Once I was pregnant and started having lower back pains, I went twice a week until 35 weeks. I totally think getting adjusted constantly helped me have an easy pregnancy. Having everything aligned and proper blood flow is always a plus! :)

@Ash: @SweetMamaM: Thank you both! Just curius, do you know where your subluxations were?

@mrs. 64: I don't know if I have said Congrats yet :) Hopefully 8 is the lucky cycle for me :) Do you know where your subluxations were? I was getting awful headaches too, so my upper neck was where he started really focusing initially and it made the world of difference. Once he got done there, he moved down to my lower back. I guess he'd known it was out the whole time, but because my neck was the one causing pain, he started there. Fixing that problem only took 3 appointments. He's been working on my lower back for 5 appointments, and were just now talking about phasing me down to less frequent appointments.

This didn't help me. I've been going to a chiro for 2 years, first because of back pain/migraines following an accident and then for maintenance. I went about every 2 weeks while I was TTC and it still took me 8 months to conceive.
