@bluestriped bee: Do you keep it on the door? It's always a bit warmer on the door and stuff can go bad faster when you keep it there.

Another option if you have a trader Joe's is their tubs are comparable in price per ounce to chobani full fat Greek but they are a little smaller. I do agree it's really odd that it's going bad so fast.

Do you mix in the whey? If you pour it off it may be contributing as well, my understanding is the less whey there is the more tart and dry it tastes.

Oh, wow. Ok. I'll check the temp. I was thinking that maybe it was the temp and that maybe I have to start putting my yogurt in a ice bath to keep it cold.

@T.H.O.U.: Oh, I could freeze half the container.

I'll double check the temp.

Thanks all!

I've had Chobani go bad pretty quickly on me too! It wasn't a big tub, just a smaller one that went bad way before the date said it would..and since I usually buy a different brand I figured it was all in my head and I ate it anyway. :(

I really like fage and haven't had issues with that going bad.

That's weird. Mine usually lasts much longer - like 2 weeks! - and I'm totally guilty of licking the spoon and re-dipping or using the same spoon I used for other foods.

It lasts for a while for us also. Definitely at least a week or more. Check your refrigerator temp.

Ours lasts a while. That's odd.

You can freeze it if you wanted to split the container up.

Is that regardless of the expiration date? How weird! Maybe your fridge temp is set too high? They usually seem to last within a day or two of the expiration date for me.

Does anyone else have this problem with Chobani?

I buy a tub of it and it goes bad pretty quick.

I would think it would last at least a week but I've been so unhappy that I've started putting the date that I open it to see how long before it goes bad.

I'm talking within 4 days, it is not edible. I taste it at least once a day before feeding the kids.

I always use a clean spoon. I don't lick the spoon between scoops to prevent bacteria growth. I always put the lid back on before returning it to the fridge.

I feed the kids yogurt once a day but will start feeding them yogurt twice a day.

It's crazy that a whole tub like that doesn't last til until you get to the bottom.
