@Bluemasonjar: I love the tape idea! That seems simpler than the pins. That magnetic board looks great, too. I wish ikea was closer!

My LO is only 3 but I bought a similar set of cards with daily routine activities (brushing teeth, getting dressed) and chores on them. I put a piece of magnet on the back and bought a magnetic board from Ikea (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10159443/) and hung it horizontal on the wall right at his height and put a piece of tape down the middle. When he completes a task he moves the card from the left side to the right side of the board.

Does anyone use chore cards or a chore chart for their kids? I just bought a set of cards to print for my four year old, and I’m trying to decide how to organize it.

I’m thinking of attaching magnets on the back of the cards so they stick on the fridge, then have her use colorful thumbtack shaped magnets to mark each one as she completes it for the day. I’m just worried our toddler will find a way to reach them.

And should I try to devide them up between morning, afternoon and evening? Maybe buy some small magnetic boards? Or just keep them all together?

I do think we need a list because she loves routine and the cards would allow her to check things off herself without me having to remember everything.

Here are the cards I bought (I’m not affiliated in any way):
