Tonight it is just my parents, DH and I so we are doing a crock pot meal. We are bringing the bbq turkey (because our tradition in SoCal is to bbq over the winter break because we can), sweet potatoes, green beans and carrots. Since most of the girlfriends/boyfriends/husbands/wives weren't Italian, they and their SOs from my family would do Christmas at their family's house, so Christmas was just a traditional ham and other stuff for the smaller family group. So that's what I still do today - either my dad and stepmom (only family in town) come over and I cook all the fishes, or like today when I'm 8.5 months pregnant and refusing to cook seafood all day, we go over to their place.
