As kids, we would always go to Mass on Christmas Eve. Sometimes go to the neighbor's house for snacks and then come home and open gifts from our aunt and uncle. After that, we would play a game, have hot chocolate and get ready for the big day.</p> <p>My favorite Christmas Eve was the year we went in for Mass and it was chilly, but clear out. When we came out, there was snow on the ground and it was still coming down. Neither if we are with DHs family because it's pretty much just another day. They don't have any traditions for those days and don't typically do a big family meal or presents. We have a big family party with the in-laws and it's really fun. We always have a bunco tournament and everyone buys in so if you win, you get about $75! Everyone gets super intense about it so it's a lot of fun.
