Real tree with go in the corner on he right of the TV, felt tree will go on the wall to the left of the tree, or maybe on the other wall on the right of the tree. I haven't totally decided yet. </p> <p>One way or another, I may be looking for fabric ornaments this year for our real tree. She was crawling at the time. We put the tree on a riser to put it higher off the floor and then hung all the fabric and baby-friendly ornaments at the bottom.</p> <p>We definitely wanted to teach her not to touch rather than just not put up a tree. But she was never interested in the tree. I don't know what we're going to do this year. I kind of want a real tree in the family room (the room we spend the most time in) but I know I'm asking for a headache. We only put plastic stuff down low and tried to teach her not to pull it off. A good rule that we are teaching is "One Finger". A bunch of snowflakes and cable knit balls. It worked out well and didn't look too sad. I have a collection of about twelve Disney ornaments that are made of plastic. Since she was interested in Mickey and they aren't breakable those were okay for touching.
