We were in my hometown and staying at my parents. I woke up and went straight to the bathroom and got my positive! I was in shock and needed a little time to process so I didn't tell anyone. After a while I was able to pull my husband aside and told him I had a present for him even though we decided not to exchange gifts bc we are buying a house. He got frustrated and told me I needed to take the gift back. I said I don't think that's really possible and handed him the bag with the test in it.
