Good luck!! We do bath jammies milk too (bottle) but he is never dead asleep when I put him in his crib at night. Seems to work ok right now though naps are a disaster.

@Thehistoryofus: that's what I was doing because it makes him drowsy. but I think it's hindered his sleep.

It is so easy to nurse to sleep but I realized I was not teaching her and giving her the opportunity to fall asleep on her own. We still nurse last (bath Jammie's milk) but I stop before she is all the way asleep.

@cvbee: I think that's what I did wrong. I originally was nursing first, then bath, pjs, books, song and prayers. It has gradually evolved into bath, pjs, books, song and prayers during nursing. bahh!!!

@Coco Bee: say it aint so!!!!!!

Okay, @Thehistoryofus: you have just given me a good warning. I was totally guilty of nursing to sleep by accident tonight. I think I need to switch up bedtime routine so the nursing doens't come last. If I have to do CIO all over again I will be so upset about that.

We just finally got to the point (when she was a year) that we decided she did not need calories at night. I nursed her and offered an extra bottle to make sure she was full and then put her down.

@Thehistoryofus: I know! It's so hard. It is SO much easier to go "rescue" him and just nurse him to sleep. But I just think about when I wean - how will he fall asleep?!

Aww I'm sorry. We have had to cut bad habits that keep creeping back into our bedtime routine (like nursing to sleep). Its tough!

For some reason Cobi hasn't been going down very easily at night. We sleep-trained about a week before he turned 6 months, and he is 7 months now. His sleep this last month has been absolute perfection. We've all been such a happy little family!

But this past week he won't go to sleep very easily, he cries so hard. So I end up going back in to nurse him. Last night I nursed him three times in less than 2 hours. This has happened many nights so it's time to CIO again..

Tonight is our first time going it again and it's just miserable! He is a lot worse than our initial CIO a month ago!!! We went straight to extinction as that's what worked for us last time.

Anyone have to sleep train multiple times? How did it go?
