I agree that it depends on exactly where you'll be taking it. We have a double Maclaren and it fits through a regular doorway, not super hard to steer or fold but obviously harder than a single! Great storage room underneath. We're in a drive everywhere city w/crappy public transportation so I have no experience with that.

I think it really depends on where you live and what you use it for. A double stroller where I live is no problem, everything is pretty big and accommodating, even on public transit because it is all wheelchair accessible. I would think about where you will be using the stroller most and decide that way. We were just in another major city and a double would have been an utter nightmare.

My son's stroller is basically my car. I dont drive and I take it everywhere with me. Now that baby #2 is on the way we are looking at getting a double stroller. Probably the side by side version of the Maclaren we already have since its folds up fairly small. I plan to wear my youngest as much as possible in the early months but I don't have a great back and my walks can sometimes be on the longer side (3-5 miles or more).

Anyway, I'm wondering how annoying/difficult it is to maneuver those double stollers? They seem very hard to get into stores and kind of wide and bulky. I haven't had a chance to try one yet, I know that I should but I'm very curious what your experiences have been like. I know people love the joggers but we just don't have the room for one.

Thank you!
