The sturdy rubber sole is what adds weight, but I think that's part of what makes them comfy too. I love that they are supposed to be machine washable. My plan is to wash them about once a month and let them air dry.</p> <p>They definitely have more support than my Toms but my feet would probably still hurt after a long day of city walking. It's hard for me to find anything other than a running shoe that can withstand miles of pavement.
