She was born in Tokyo and the train and subway system there is so clean, that I never really worried about germs. Mostly just because we could walk most places we went in that time frame, or it was quicker to take a taxi. The train was to an international flight, which I'm sure was way germier than public transport. Though if your LO is in a carrier, I don't see how many germs would get on them regardless..
