That's a good idea @tysonja I really want to push the Elite around the store too. Make sure it is shopping friendly :) I will have to ask if they will let me take it out to my car and practice.

@LindsayInNYC: a few small upgrades such as the handle bars (for pushing) can be made longer/shorter and angled (for tall moms and dads), and the feature that i covet -- slightly larger and more sturdy wheels. I think there may be some other upgrades, too?

I have the gt. I did a lot of research and it was recommended over the elite but I can't remember why. I watched a google video demonstration that was pretty helpful.

The gt is light enough that I don't mind using it all the time (we are still I'm newborn phase). But it's not a true jogger, so for running it won't work.

i can't comment on city mini GT vs elite, but i'm interested if anyone else has experience!

we have the regular city mini, and although we LOVE LOVE LOVE it, it would have been nice if we had sprung for the GT!

i didn't realize the elite was that close in price to the GT :)

maybe just go back to BBB and maybe they will let you take it to the parking lot and you can practice collapsing and putting each one into the trunk on your own -- just to get a feel of what you are most comfortable with? :)
when it comes down to it, i think they both are great and i don't think you'll regret either! :)

My husband and I went to BBB a couple weeks ago to look at strollers. We have pretty much decided that the Baby Jogger brand is the brand for us. The City Mini just felt too small for us and we really like the idea of a 3 wheel stroller so we narrowed it down to the City Mini GT and the City Elite...now we are stuck. I am trying to find a stroller that does everything because I do not want multiple strollers. I like the City Mini GT but considering the price is only $50 less, it just didn't feel as nice as the Elite. The Elite is fantastic but I am concerned that it is just too big and bulky. Anyone have any experience with these strollers? Thoughts?
