We have the City Select and the UB Mesa. But we got the stroller after DS outgrew the Mesa. In the next couple weeks we'll start using it as a double, potentially. I do remember from trying it out in the store that not all configurations will work.

But DS is almost 3 and I mostly will need the stroller for the newborn. My #1 priority was that the carseat click into the stroller, which it didn't do in our last one. DS barely uses the stroller now, if he wants to use it, he may have to face in. I'm not sure it would occur to him to complain about it though.

No experience with the car seat, but I love my city select. But my toddler can't face out when I use the baby bassinet, and even when the baby is in the proper seat the toddler can't face out unless the baby is more upright than I'd like. So I can imagine a car seat possibly causing the same issue.

Does anyone have both the city select and the uppababy mesa car seat?

I found a used city select with 2 seats for $250, which seems like an amazing deal. Right???

We have the UppaBaby Mesa car seat, and while I was googling to find the adapter for it with the city mini, I saw some reviews that suggested the toddler seat can't face out if you use the mesa car seat.

Has anyone tried this? What do you think of the city select in general--particular car seats that work better for it?

We will have a 2.5yo and a newborn.
