Kids are SO different from each other. I was feeling all proud my 8-month-old started clapping until we spent time with a friend this weekend who has a kid born the same day, and her baby is standing unassisted and doing all of these other things LO can't do (but not clapping, LOL). I assume he physically could since he whacks his wooden balls together to make them clink. He is not delayed in anything else- walking with a push toy and on our fingers, says many consonant sounds, throws a ball, can put things into containers and take them out, and can wave (although rarely does when we want him to) but for some reason he won't clap!! I keep reading people saying that their 6 month olds can clap so I am starting to stress! Anyone else's kiddos not clap until later like ours? </p>
