@VEGMAMA: Yes, I think so. I'ver broken out so badly in my entire life. I don't want to gross you out but I also got backne :( Once I was a few weeks into my second trimester things started going back to normal, thank goodness!

@VEGMAMA: I always take the brush head off, rinse the base and dry it before putting it back on the charger.

@lolabee: @VEGMAMA: Oh yeah - I got TERRIBLE skin and cystic breakouts during 1st and part of 2nd trimester! It was so awful! I didn't dare use my Clarisonic during that time period. I found the less I did, the better. I've been using it again since close to 3rd tri and my skin is a lot better. Hormones! argh!

@lolabee: Awesome! Are cystic breakouts typical during the 1st tri? I've been worried since I've had periods of breakouts before.

As @shopaholic: experienced, I broke out like mad for the first while too. Once you get over that hump (if it happens to you, I think you will love it!)

Changes I have found in my skin (I've been using the Mia for almost 1.5 years)
-incredibly soft and smooth - it eliminated tiny little bumps I had on my cheeks
-HUGE reduction of blackheads on my nose and chin
-no longer have cystic break outs (minus my first tri)
-my products definitely absorb better

I agree with @fussygal: it's super important to keep it nice and clean! I pretty much follow the same cleaning regime.

@fussygal: That's really good advice. I've left mine on the counter (cap on), and I was really grossed out last night because it was still wet. Ughhhh!

I have the clarisonic plus and I noticed a difference, in a good way, immediately. My skin is softer and less blackheads, especially on my nose.

I have the Mia and it took a good month of using it everyday for me to really see results. I replace the brush every three months and I use the sensitive brush head. LIke @shopaholic said, don't press too hard and just go back and forth (not in circular motions) very lightly. I don't know that my pores are smaller, but my skin is much brighter and my skin definitely feels different if I don't use it.

It's also really important to keep it clean and dry after every use. I used to keep it in the shower (gross!!), but after changing brushes one time and seeing the gunk that was accumulating underneath it (and way too close to my skin for comfort!) I looked into how best to clean it. Here's what I do everyday:
- Dab the brush on a clean towel 2-3 times to get off excess moisture.
- Take the brush head off and then also take the plastic cap off the brush (it slows drying time) and let them air dry on the counter with the handle.
- 1-2 times a week clean the brush with anti-bacterial soap.

I've been using my Mia for over a year now, and I'm not sure I SEE a real difference... maybe it just psychologically makes me feel better that my skin is cleaner.

My skin has improved over the last 3 months or so, but I don't think that's a direct result of the Mia, since I've been using it for 14 months now.

@shopaholic: Good to know about the pores. I do think they are a little clearer, but I'm hoping for even more improvement. I did buy from Sephora. I love that store!!

I have the regular Clarisonic and I will tell you originally the thing made me breakout soooo bad, with like cystic acne! So my tips:
1) Don't overuse it!
2) Don't press too hard!

Also, I switched over to the sensitive skin head, so you might want to try a different head for your skin type. If you buy it at Sephora, you can always exchange it if it doesn't work right for you.

P.S. It won't shrink your pores. But it will make your skin clearer and brighter.

I bought mine at the end of December so I've been using mine for a month. I'm finally starting to see my face clear up. I definitely have less black heads than before. I also started using argan oil as my moisturizer and stopped using coconut oil. I felt like the coconut oil didn't absorb as quickly and it would just pick up all sorts of grime and clog my pores.

I purchased the Clarisonic Mia 2 a couple of weeks ago. I've only used it 5 or so times (the sales person told me to go easy at first). Besides softer skin, my pores still seem big ... and (totally gross) kind of dirty.

If you're using it, when did you notice a difference? Are you using the brush head that came with it? I'm thinking of switching to the deep pore cleansing one. Hoping to see a big difference within the month.
