My dental hygienist friend told me that is exactly the reason why she only recommends Sonicare toothbrushes. Because the other ones spin and Sonicares vibrate and the spin motion is much harsher on your gums. I bought it a long time ago (maybe 5 years now?) and still use it often, so I think it was worth the big price tag. I just replace the brush heads every so often. I actually hadn't been using it for awhile recently and noticed my skin getting congested. I started using it again a few nights ago and my skin feels better again already. I wouldn't say my skin is super clear or flawless from the clarisonic but it's helped to get rid of dry patches, flakey skin and my make-up goes on smoothly when I use it (when I don't, my make-up looks patchy after a few hours - especially blush and bronzer). </p>
