@Truth Bombs: Right. That's the major thing holding me back from signing her up.

My concern wouldn't be the physical demands (my kid has no problem running on the playground for an hour and a half so I think two classes would be fine)... But mental. I don't know if my LO could focus and listen nicely to instructions for that long of a time in a row.

I would go for it. Sounds like she would really enjoy the class!

@anbanan15: ha. The rock climbing was not a mommy approved activity! She does have a lot of energy, though.

@mrsjazz: In that case I would think she would be fine for 3 weeks! Sounds like you already take her for some pretty physical activities following dance class already.

@anbanan15: Dance is 40 minutes and gymnastics is 45. She has tons of energy so we usually go get a treat and then to the playground if the weather is nice. She doesn't nap on the weekend. Last week she had dance class and then DH took her rock climbing!

How long are the classes? I think if she is very active and the classes are not too long, then she could probably handle it for 3 weeks. How is she usually after dance? Tired of still ready to go?

My 4 yr old could probably benefit from back to back classes :silly: knock the kid out so mama can sleep for once!

@daniellemybelle: She loves her dance class, even though she spends parts of it tumbling on the floor. One plus side is maybe she'll nap for a change on the weekend?

Still torn!

I probably wouldn't do two physically active classes back to back like that. But you know your kid! Could you "drop out" of dance the last three weeks?

LO is currently in a weekend dance class (starts at 10 am) that ends at the end of June. We really want to put her in a gymnastics class because she flips onto the couch and tumbles all over the living room floor. We showed her a couple of videos and she really wants to do it. We talked about putting her in the summer session after dance class ends.

The gymnastics place just released their summer session and the class would start 15 minutes after dance class for the 10-week summer session, with 3 of the classes (dance and then gymnastics) overlapping (first 3 in June).

We don't want her to be over scheduled. We could wait and get her into a fall session. Do you think a 3-year-old can handle two classes back to back for 3 sessions? Or would you wait? Also, the classes are a block a way from each other so no worries about travel time.
