I absolutely despise carpet. And yet, I see the difference between a toddler falling at my house - a sad boo boo, and on my sisters hardwood - a big painful bruise and sometimes a genuine injury. The rental we're in right now has it, and keeping it clean with a toddler is a nightmare. We bought a nice quality steam cleaner, and it works really well. I think we might be able to get a few more years out of that carpet if the old stains don't come back up. Small things make me so happy these days. </p>
