I've machine washed the cover a couple times. I actually put mine in the dryer on low (it's on a shelf, so it doesn't tumble) otherwise it would take forever to dry.

You can use mild dish soap on straps like blue Dawn, if water doesn't get them clean enough.

I removed the seat cover and threw it in the washing machine when DS puked in it. (video is how to detach everything) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-7a2QFmzvGg

I machine washed the seat cover- car sick barf. There was no "spot cleaning". I wiped the straps well with a wet wash cloth and they were ok. One thing that sucked was it was super humid and it took forever to hang dry the seat. It was a pain but had to be done.

I washed ours when I was nesting prior to LO2's arrival. Major PITA and none of the spots came out. I haven't done it since. I just passed it down to LO2 dirty.

I did! I just used water on the straps because I was afraid to do anything else.
I took the entire seat cover off and put it in the washing machine on gentle. Hang dried for a day or so. Went back on no problems and washed up super nicely.

Ours was a yogurt barf...so...yeah. If that got clean anything can.

The manual says spot clean or machine wash. Those are pretty different! It also said hang dry (this is fine) and that you could use warm water and mild soap to wipe down straps. I was always under the impression water only and barely damp.

Has anyone deep cleaned one of these suckers? It's a gross, discarded food mess!
