<description>&#60;p&#62;ours can be thrown into the dishwasher (all parts but the base) so we do that periodically. But ours has a great filter that needs to be replaced every two weeks or so.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I never cleaned mine until the bees scared me with bacteria talk. I stopped using ours bc its a pain to clean. I cleaned it weekly before retiring it. Used vinegar.

<description>&#60;p&#62;We use one only when our heater is on all night or when he's sick. I clean it every 2 or 3 days (with soap+ water and vinegar solution). I get scared of mold so I try to be good about cleaning it out, even if it doesn't look moldy or dirty.
