@winniebee: Haha I still get confused sometimes!! I really feel like the flashing smiley should mean peak, because isn't flashing more exciting than just a static smiley?!?

Yay for peak today!!

@Kbee: and I just realized I wrote everything backwards here. I got highs yesterday and today. Not peaks. I should just delete this thread, lol.

I use these and love them. The first time you use it in a cycle it will always say "low," because it uses the first time as your baseline level and compares all subsequent days to that baseline level of hormones. The flashing smiley is "high" fertility, which just means it's detected an increase in estrogen. It says most women get 2 days of flashing smileys, but it really can vary quite a lot depending on your cycle (I start on CD8 and usually get 2 lows, 10 highs, and then peak). The "peak" is the solid smiley, which means it detected the LH surge and you're about to ovulate. Love these tests!

@littlek: I'm a total space cadet! I didn't realize that the "peak" on the advanced digital is a flashing smiley, not a solid smiley with squiggles around it. I thought it was a smiley with squiggles around it (not realizing that that was the symbol for "flashing"). So, I guess I'm in peak mode, not high mode. Which is better for us anyways given my husband's work schedule. Thanks for your input :)

@winniebee: they say that but I think you can still tell. The issue is that the clear blue compares day to day and since you started late it won't give you an accurate reading.

@littlek: the advanced ones say you can't tell by looking at the line on the stick. The test line isn't as dark as the control line so wouldn't be positive in wandfo world. But I guess the high reading detects the lh surge while the peak detects our increase in estrogen which happens before the lh surge? Im having telltale signs so I'm guessing o is imminent anyways.

@winniebee: do you want to take a picture of the lines on the stick? I can tell by how dark they are if it's positive or not

@littlek: I usually do both but basically just bought these on a whim since I had a coupon. I wonder if it means I'm just in peak mode rather than high mode. Oh well.

@winniebee: my guess is it's because you started late. that's why I like wondfo opks to confirm O.

I wasn't going to use ovulation tests until next month but I broke down and started them on CD 14. Using the cbe advanced digitals that give you 4 most fertile days (ie 2 peaks and 2 highs highs being when your lh surge is detected). Cd 14 was Negative. Cd 15 also negative. Cd 16 got a peak. No highs though. I think the high is probably accurate since last month I felt O pains on day 18 and got period 13 days later. Is it Bc I started testing too late in my cycle? Like had I started on cd 10 maybe 14 and 15 would have been peaks and 16 a high? Last time I used the straight up digitals that just would give the actual lh surge.

Anyone use these tests? Any ideas?
