I haven't used the advanced one. But for the one that just has a solid smiley with the LH surge - and otherwise negative - I have noticed when I pop out the test strip to throw it away that the test line darkens somewhat the day before it becomes positive, in the same way wondfo does, and is equally dark as the control when there's a solid smiley.

I went through a miscarrige last month so I dont know if this is normal or not. I used the advanced digital ones and wondfos this month. I got 10 days of flashing smileys before I got the solid smiley and the positive wondfo. I think my cyccle may just he screewy this month though

The blinking smiley is only testing your estrogen level - the solid smiley (the second faint line) is your LH surge. I kind of hate the advanced tests because sometimes you get 5 days of blinking smileys before a solid one (and that doesn't always work out favorably for the man)
Keep testing until you get the solid smiley - and test with afternoon urine - I have found that to be very true for me at least. Good luck!

I can't compare to a Wondfo, but CB OPKs worked well for me. I tested twice a day. Once you get a smiley you're supposed to stop testing, I believe, and DTD. Your results sound like the OPK is working well. :goodluck:

Help! Can you read the stick from a digital test the same way you read wondfos?

I used the digital test last time when we were TTC DD. It turns out I was ovulating late in my cycle (CD 21) and I was terrible at reading wondfos. I got pregnant my first cycle with the digital OPK.

This time I got the "advanced" one. It's supposed to show you three blinking smileys on the days leading up to ovulation and then a steady smiley on your "peak" fertility day.

I started testing on CD 11. I skipped CD 12. Got an empty circle on CD 13. I was super surprised when I got a blinking/high fertility smiley on CD14. And even more surprised when I popped the test out of the reader and the second line was really light. Today's CD 15 and I got another blinking smiley and a light line.

Does this seem like I messed up the test by skipping a day? Or like I am actually going to ovulate earlier? Should I stop popping the tests out to read them and trust the reader?
