Definitely possible, usually LH will surge in the urine at some point during the day, which is why some brands of tests recommend taking in the afternoon. I would trust the static smiley...

@pmrlady: I never tested with the advanced tests twice in one day. But I would still trust your night positive smiley! Get on it, girl!

@pmrlady yes, as I got closer to when I thought I should have the static smiley face I always tested at night. It seems that mine peaks at night. For what it is worth, I am currently pregnant from a cycle where I tested with a static smiley at night. Good luck!

@pmrlady: My best guess is that, during the day, your levels increased so much that the late afternoon is when the surge was detected (but it wasn't there quite yet in the morning). I have had hit-or-miss luck with these. For example, I had a negative on a Friday afternoon, and by Saturday morning it was a "peak fertility" notification, only 12 hours later. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with levels in your urine, but it's not a perfect system for sure!

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone got a static smiley face the same day as a flashing smiley face. I tested this morning and got a flashing smiley face. I tested again in the evening just to see if it was accurate and would show it again. But when I tested in the evening, it was already static smiley face. I'm 11 days into my cycle. It just seems strange to me that it would switch from flashing to static so quickly. Anyone else had this happen?
The only difference is that I used test strips from a different kit, but still from the same company. (I ran out of the other ones).
