@littlek: When you tested with FMU today did you get a smiley? a solid one? I know the advanced tests not only for the spike in LH, but also estrogen, which is why i think they make you use FMU. Also, when i used the regular clearblue digital, i have gotten a negative in the morning and a positive in the afternoon - it just depends on when you happen to catch your surge i think!

I only tested with FMU for the CBE Advanced and got negatives the first two days and a solid smiley on the third day. I'm guessing if I had testing in the afternoon I would have had the flashing smiley/high fertility, but I'm just guessing. It was also fairly close to normal O, just one day before normal. So it seemed accurate (and I got a BFP this cycle so it clearly worked).

I'd say get to BDing! ;-)

I've never used the clearblue advanced, just the clearblue regular digital, but with that it is not unusual to get a circle in the morning and a smiley in the afternoon or evening. It could have something to due with concentration, but I usually thing it is due to when the surge begins. I could be wrong though!

Oh, I was looking at the reviews, and people were complaining about getting two different results when testing 2x a day. I *think* I remember reading that you can't test twice a day using the clearblue advanced digital ovulation kit because it test for two different hormones or what not. I will do a quick search to see if I can find it for ya.

Saw this as part of their response on Amazon reviews:
This test is designed to be used with first morning urine. Testing with a later sample may affect your high fertility results. If you prefer to test twice per day for the LH surge you will get the best results by testing once per day with your first morning urine until high fertility is detected. If you wish, you can then begin testing twice per day until peak fertility is identified.

So, according to them you wouldn't want to start testing twice a day until you get high fertility with FMU.

So the instructions say to use FMU. I tested this morning and got circle. I tested this afternoon and got smiley. Can I not trust result since I didn't use FMU? I had help my pee for a few hours before I tested this afternoon.
