I know the advanced tests not only for the spike in LH, but also estrogen, which is why i think they make you use FMU. I'm guessing if I had testing in the afternoon I would have had the flashing smiley/high fertility, but I'm just guessing. It was also fairly close to normal O, just one day before normal. It could have something to due with concentration, but I usually thing it is due to when the surge begins. I *think* I remember reading that you can't test twice a day using the clearblue advanced digital ovulation kit because it test for two different hormones or what not. I will do a quick search to see if I can find it for ya.</p> <p>Saw this as part of their response on Amazon reviews:<br /> <i>This test is designed to be used with first morning urine. Testing with a later sample may affect your high fertility results. If you prefer to test twice per day for the LH surge you will get the best results by testing once per day with your first morning urine until high fertility is detected.
