@MrsKRB: Super expensive. =( 11 sounds like a good start day, maybe 10.

@californiadreams: Past 6 months, shortest was 26 days, longest was 41. Within the last year though, longest was 61, shortest still 26. Average is 31.

@Coffee-lover: I get random short and random long ones. Typically they're between 30 - 40. =( But I hate that curveball.

@simplyfelicity: I got the advance digital with 10 tests. DH said he didn't want to take chances and wanted accuracy.

Which one did you get? The regular or advanced digital?
Also, you can get a 20 count kit for $35 on Amazon. Probably would have lasted me 4-5 months.

I started testing early around 7dpo because I did not want to miss it. I have short cycles and usually ovulated around 11 or 12.

I remember reading that you just need to look at your cycles in the past 6 months to decide what to go by. Not sure if that makes a difference for you - like what was your shortest cycle in past 6 months?

I would start at CD11, it's better to be safe and catch it, even though it's so expensive and I'm sure you don't want to waste tests!

Wow, I had no idea these were so expensive. I went in thinking they would cost the same as a pregnancy test (around $15, but because I've been so disappointed the last few cycles of TTC, DH insisted on buying the $70 kit + PreSeed).

Anyway, I read the instructions and need some advice.

My cycle varies so much. The shortest I've had was 21 days (the cycle I just past was 26 days). But my average is 31 days. The longest was 65 days.

Going with 21 days, the OPK tells me to start testing on Day 7. Going with my average 31 days, it says to start testing at Day 11.

When should I start?
