I have been super happy with our fllo, lo is big but the other reason I got it is that we don't own a car and i needed something easy install in a wide rang of cars. And the install on the fllo is great.

I went for it and it came today! I decided I can use our graco convertible car seat for a hypothetical LO2 and it was on sale on Amazon. Excited to install it! F was loving siting in it in the living room :)

We have 2 foonf's and love them. I bought them specifically for the extended rear facing. Dd1 is 3 and still rear facing and very comfortable.
The other good thing is that they don't expire for 9 years ( the highest expiration on the market I believe) so if you do have another kid, you'll have years of life left in it.

Do you have or are you planning on a second child? It could be a good way to rationalize a seat purchase, buy something that will accommodate erf for your older child and pass down the seats you already have. I think I'd waffle about buying seats for erf now unless it would also allow me to keep them in a 5 point harness liner when ff too. I know the cleks would let you ff for a long time but I'm not sure if it would outlast your current seat.

@catgirl: yeah, I wouldn't buy another graco seat to replace this one. It works decently enough and he probably won't outgrow it for a good while. The main issue is I just don't love it and I wish I bought a nicer seat from the get go! Trying to rationalize buying the clek. I also wonder if he might be a tad happier in it since it's more open seeming, if that makes sense.

We have the Clek Fllo and love it! LO will be three next month and is still comfortably rear-facing in it. He's tall but skinny to average in weight.

We actually bought a second Fllo for my parents' car even though we had initially bought a cheaper seat. It just didn't work nearly as well.

Both the Clek Fllo and Foonf go to 50 pounds and through 43". Another option would be the Graco Extend2Fit with will rear face to 50 pounds and 49". All three will forward face to 65 pounds and 49" but he extend2fit will last a bit longer forward facing because the highest harness position is an inch higher.

I would personally wait until he gets closer to the weight limit - he might slow down. But I think buying another seat is definitely a decent option if you want to rear face as long as possible.

Or another one with high limits for rear facing.

We currently use a graco size for me. RF limits are up to 40 lbs. he's a really big guy, at 19mo he weighs 32 lbs and 36 in. It seems like he has a while on the height and while his growth has of course slowed way down, I would love to rear face him as long as possible.

I wish I sprung for the clek fllo from the beginning of convertible car seat time! Do you think it's worth it at this point?
